Story

Chef Nick Ronan’s passion for food and his desire to share his love with those around him began in his early twenties when he worked for some of the best chefs in London and Paris.

Luckily for us, he brought his culinary skills and European flair to San Francisco in 2008.

Thanks to his charisma and generosity, he quickly gained a tremendous following when he brought to  life a lovely French bistro in Forest Hills called Chou Chou. There he delighted guests with a warm friendly atmosphere and delicious cuisine.

His next venture took him to the heart of the Castro, where he was executive chef and owner of a lively restaurant called Bisou. It was here that he became even more well known for bringing people together.  His restaurant was noted as one of the Best of the Bay in San Francisco, and he found himself on television, and in magazines being described as the “Kissing Chef” because he greeted each and every one of his guests with a genuine smile and a kiss on both cheeks.

As his reputation grew,  he and a partner designed and opened a small nearby restaurant called Beso; an eclectic style of Spanish and French cuisine. It was wildly popular in the neighborhood. Chef Ronan always had a surprise for his guests; special menus, wine offerings, amuse bouche, and VIP treatment every evening!

His newest restaurant, Brigitte’s Bistro, (named after his late mother Brigitte) is where the magic happens now. Chef Ronan is honored and ecstatic to be bringing to you, his expertise, his passion and his joy of making customers happy. He fell in love with Petaluma and wants to create an elegant dining experience for you in a warm, intimate atmosphere. A local Petaluma spot to hang out with pleasure.

Love, Food, Wine, Passion, Life and People.
